Hailing from a small village of Gwalior district, Madhya Pradesh, Archana came to Blind Welfare Society in July 2023. From a very young age, she faced the challenges of being visually impaired, but her spirit was undeterred. Archana’s parents, recognizing her potential, encouraged her to pursue education despite the societal norms that often underestimated people with disabilities.
With unwavering determination, she excelled in her studies at a local blind school in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Her passion for education and her dream of breaking barriers led her to aspire for higher studies at one of the most prestigious institutions in the country—Daulat Ram College of Delhi University.
Archana’s journey was not without its difficulties. She faced skepticism and prejudice from some who doubted her ability to navigate the academic world. However, with the support of Blind Welfare Society, She overcame these challenges. Moving to Delhi, she embraced the vibrant and inclusive environment of the university. The college administration, faculty, and her fellow students welcomed her warmly. She proved that vision is not confined to the eyes; it's a force that drives one's dreams and ambitions.
